  • ei3 Expands OEM Partnership with Polytype's Dry-OffSet Specialty Printing Division

By Control Engineering Staff -- Control Engineering, 10/3/2002

Montvale and Mahwah, NJ - ei3 Corp., a provider of real-time engineering services, and Polytype America Corp ., a provider of dry-offset printing equipment, announced September 27 a partnership that will provide Polytype America customers worldwide with 24/7 service on all new and existing printing equipment. As an extension of an existing relationship with Polytype Switzerland, this agreement enables Polytype America Corp.'s dry-offset printing customers to realize the same productivity and cost savings benefits as its converting equipment customers.

''ei3 has a proven record of quickly solving complex process line problems for Polytype's converting equipment customers,'' said Pieter van der Griendt, president at Polytype America Corp. ''This partnership adds value to our business by providing customers with rapid response services that minimize downtime, eliminate costs, and improve productivity.''

ei3's 24/7 engineering services are delivered remotely via the internet or high-speed modem to Polytype machine controls from its state-of-the-art operations center. This enables ei3 to provide troubleshooting support to solve equipment problems quickly and efficiently.

''This expanded relationship with Polytype builds on our OEM strategy to increase the scope of manufacturing applications, markets and geographical areas that we support,'' said Brett Smith, ceo of ei3. ''Our 24/7 engineering support services provide Polytype's customers with measurable cost savings and tangible productivity benefits.''

In addition to 24/7 engineering support, the company offers a suite of productivity tools that monitor, support, analyze, archive, and manage printing equipment activity to maximize productivity and performance. The company's services are delivered as hosted applications.
