    Staff -- Control Engineering, 8/1/2004

BX Series brushless dc speed control system now includes high output power models of 200 and 400 W. Motors come with quiet GFH gearheads or in a round shaft version. Electromagnetic brake models are also available and allow a load to be held in a stationary position. Two package configurations are offered. Standard system provides a speed ratio of 100:1 without any reduction in torque over a speed range of 30 to 3,000 rpm. Enhanced system has up to eight individual speed settings to extend the speed range to 3 to 3,000 rpm. Four frame sizes are available from 2.36 in. sq. to 4.09 in. sq., with five output powers ranging from 30 to 400 W. www.orientalmotor.com
