Fuji Electric Corp. of America (FECOA) is providing 24 hour telephone support five days a week.

    -- Control Engineering, 10/14/2009

Fuji Electric Corp. of America (FECOA) is providing 24 hour telephone support five days a week. Fuji Electric says that while its products are highly reliable, there are times when support is needed after office hours.

FECOA extended telephone support for ac drive products to 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday. Hours of operation will begin at 9 a.m. Eastern Time on Monday and will run through 12 a.m. Pacific Time on Friday each week, company says.

For this extended support, the toll-free support number is: 1-888-900-FUJI(3854).

Earlier in the year, Fuji Electric extended ac drives warranty to three years.

FECOA products include: Distribution and control, RC blowers and pumps, industrial equipment, water treatment and systems, power generation, semiconductor, ac drives, instrumentation and controls.

      Engineering with Ethernet

The debate about Ethernet's viability on the plant floor is no longer an issue for most engineers. Their concerns now focus on the variety of specifications and possibilities for industrial Ethernet-ranging from protocols, switch architectures, and Power over Ethernet to safety concerns, legacy network connection issues and wireless possibilities.

      Technologies for Regulatory Compliance

Regulatory compliance is an issue which is becoming increasingly critical for manufacturers of all types as federal agencies clamp down on violations of all types.
