Mayfield Heights, O.—Rockwell Automation held an Integrated Architecture Summit here June 20 to explain its integrated architecture concept and how customers are benefiting from it.

Steve Eisenbrown, Automation Control and Information Group's senior vp for commercial marketing, reported that beyond the hype of e-manufacturing is hope for significant productivity leaps for manufacturers. Integrating architectures into an e-manufacturing environment enables rapid deployment and re-deployment of resources, build-to-order delivery cycles, nonstop operations, and supply-chain integration.

A panel of users discussed their experience implementing integrated architectures in manufacturing and equipment.Part of the Rockwell Integrated Architecture initiative lies in creating a common look and feel across all programming packages and visualization development software. This commonality helps customers lower training costs since once trained, a user can pick up a new application rapidly.
