  • Moog Inc. (East Aurora, N.Y.) and Eaton Corp. (Cleveland, O.) announced Sept. 25 that Moog will buy Eaton's Vickers Electronics Division of Aeroquip-Vickers S.p.A. (Casella, Italy), a $20-million manufacturer of high-performance electric drives. Vickers Electronics was part of Vickers Electronics Systems (VES) when Eaton acquired Aeroquip-Vickers Inc. in April 1999.
  • Robert Bosch GmbH (Stuttgart, Germany) announced plans Sept. 25 to integrate Mannesmann Rexroth AG (Lohr, Germany) and its companies into the Bosch group. Once antitrust approvals are granted, Bosch Rexroth AG, a Bosch subsidiary, will enter into a "company lease agreement" with Rexroth, which will transfer the business activities of Mannesmann Rexroth AG, including its affiliates, to the new company.
  • DeZurik (Sartell, Minn.) announced on Sept. 22 its acquisition of Copes-Vulcan, a Pennsylvania-based manufacturer of flow control equipment used in the power generation and process industries, such as pulp and paper, chemical, and petrochemicals. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
  • Schneider Electric (Paris, France) recently announced plans to acquire Crouzet Automatismes (Valence, France), an electronic control and small automation device provider, and Positec (Surrey, British Columbia, Canada), a motion control provider, to broaden its offering for OEMs and strengthen its position with industrial customers.
