Fluke Networks, Fluke continue Danaher expansion

Staff -- Control Engineering, 11/1/2000

Everett, Wa.— Spin-off and expansion of Fluke Networks Inc. as a separate Danaher Corp. (Washington, D.C.) subsidiary; continued introductions of process calibration tools; integration of Wavetek Precision Measurement (Norwich, U.K.) acquired in January 2000; and announcement of new software support services were among recent developments at Fluke's headquarters here. Fluke Networks agreed Sept. 28 to acquire assets and technology of NetMetrix, a developer of network-performance management solutions, from Agilent Technologies Inc. (Palo Alto, Calif.) for an undisclosed sum. Danaher announced in March 2000 that it would separate Fluke Networks, with about $100 million in revenues, from Fluke. In addition, Fluke has used its Met/Cal Plus calibration software experience to develop its Met/Temp software, introduced in August 2000. Using the software and up to 14 probes with dry-block calibrators, introduced in April, conserves users' time.
