Staff -- Control Engineering, 12/1/2000

  • Omron Corp. (Kyoto, Japan; Schaumburg, Ill.) was incorrectly left off the "Leading Control Manufacturers" chart, derived from Business Week magazine's Global 1000 report, which appeared with "Who's on first in controls industry following mergers?," Market Update, CE, Oct. '00, p. 16. Omron should have been listed as the 105th largest company in Japan and the 737th largest company globally during 2000 with revenues of more than $5.6 billion in 2000 and more than $5.1 billion in 1999.
  • The name and web sites address of Synergetic Micro Systems Inc. (Downers Grove, Ill.) were misspelled in "How to Build an Industrial Network," CE, Oct. '00, p. 45. Synergetic's web site is at www.synergetic.com.
  • A photo incorrectly ran with a write-up of Data Translation's (Marlboro, Mass.) DT Vision Foundry 2.5 product in "Products & Software," CE, Nov. '00, p. 114. For a corrected version of this item, see this issue's "Products & Software" section, beginning on p. 78.
