Milford, O.— To offer its customers a system-wide approach for machine control, CTC Parker Automation recently agreed with Wieland Electric (Bamberg, Germany; Burgaw, N.C.) to private label, sell, and distribute Wieland's line of I/O products. The agreement covers sales under Parker's brand name of new modular I/O and bus-coupler hardware developed and manufactured by Wieland. Bus and I/O products will be available to all Parker Automation divisions. "This is a vital step toward providing customers with single source solutions to their open machine control, motion control, and industrial automation needs," said Jay Vierling, CTC general manager. "The bus-coupler and I/O provide a compact, easily configurable approach to meeting industry trends to open systems and application flexibility. The bus-coupler hardware enables utilization of two major bus systems for open control, Profibus and DeviceNet, with future expansion to other fieldbus standards.
