- NETsilicon Inc. (Waltham, Mass.) on Feb. 24 introduced NET+Lx, an embedded network connectivity system using Linux. Ametek Inc. (Paoli, Pa.) recently bought Drexelbrook Engineering Co. (Horsham, Pa.) for about $25 million in cash. With sales of $30 million in 1999 and 220 employees worldwide, Drexelbrook designs and manufactures point level and continuous level measurement and control devices and flow measurement instrumentation. Drexelbrook joins another recent acquisition, Patriot Sensors, in Ametek's newly formed Sensor Technology Division.
