- Xycom Automation Inc.(Saline, Mich.) announced May 8 that it is integrating elements of Microsoft's DNA for Manufacturing Model into its Open HMI and OpenCNTRL software products to provide an open interface among device, controller, and plant applications.
- CTC Parker Automation (Cincinnati, O.) unveiled in May an Allen-Bradley Ethernet Driver that enables its Interact HMI software to communicate with RSLC-5 and PLC-5 controllers from Rockwell Automation on the factory floor over Ethernet. The driver is part of CTC's MachineShop Software Suite and is bundled with all CTC PowerStation workstations.
- Think & Do Software (Ann Arbor, Mich.) reported May 4 that it has added it's eighth motion supplier, Logosol Inc. (Sunnyvale, Calif.), and now has more than 20 supported interfaces, including support for Logosol's servo controllers. Think & Do Software customers can now choose from Logosol's LS-173/182 single-axis motion controller with integrated servo amplifier and LS-773 network I/O node.
