Rockwell Automation acquires Systems Modeling

Staff -- Control Engineering, 6/1/2000

Milwaukee, Wis. Rockwell Automation recently bought Systems Modeling Corp. (Pittsburgh, Pa.), developer of Tempo scheduling, simulation software and Arena systems modeling software. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The company's 57 employees will be able join Rockwell Software and remain in Pittsburgh. The transaction will help Rockwell customers integrate information throughout the enterprise and add products and expertise to Rockwell's Manufacturing BusinessWare initiative.
