Partners secure MS Windows applications

Staff -- Control Engineering, 2/1/2000

Noblesville, Ind.—The Wildfire Software division of Flexware Integration (Noblesville, Ind.) and Software Toolbox (Charlotte, N.C.) recently partnered to market Wildfire Software's SecureKeys product via Software Toolbox's eBusiness venture, located at Softwaretoolbox.com. Developers use SecureKeys with tools such as Visual Basic, Visual C++, and Inprise Delphi, to prevent users from jumping out of an application unless the manager of the application or the developer allows it. SecureKeys forces the Microsoft Windows kernel to ignore any Windows special keys desired—including Ctrl-Alt-Delete. SecureKeys is available for Windows 95/98 and Windows NT/2000.

Software Toolbox provides e-business services for Wildfire Software, including hosting online secured purchase and registration and front-line technical support services. Customers can buy SecureKeys online via secure connections and download the product for immediate use. Customers will have access to an online knowledge base of the product through Software Toolbox's online support system and Software Toolbox engineers for pre- and post-sale technical questions.
