Honeywell sues ABB alleging patent infringement

Phoenix, Ariz. — Honeywell Industrial Control filed a lawsuit against ABB Industrial Automation on June 7 in the Northern District of California alleging patent infringement related to technology used in Honeywell's sheet scanning devices. This technology increases the accuracy of quality control measurements used in papermaking. "We aggressively enforce our patents," says John Donofrio, Honeywell's Intellectual Property vp. "Enforcement of our intellectual property rights is a necessary part of protecting Honeywell's innovation and investment in product development."
