Cutler-Hammer provides circuit breakers and boards for Kosovo

Staff -- Control Engineering, 12/1/1999

Pittsburgh, Pa.—Cutler-Hammer recently won a series of orders from electrical distributor Wesco Distribution to support the International Security Force in Kosovo (KFOR). The order, for distribution boards and circuit breakers and switch disconnects, will enable Wesco to provide KFOR with electrical distribution systems as it establishes military bases throughout the region as part of Operation Joint Guardian. Simon Thorpe, Wesco's U.K. sales manager, says, "Electricity supply and distribution is mission-critical in this situation. We have been in the Balkans for more than three years, supplying the international security force with electrical equipment. Cutler-Hammer produces the equipment needed for these applications. It was the only supplier that could deliver what we needed in time." Wesco supplies more than 210,000 products from over 60,000 suppliers, including power distribution equipment, control products, data communication systems, and industrial automation equipment.
