Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada-Intrinsyc Software and Siemens (Alpharetta, Ga.) will present new initiatives in Industrial Automation during a media briefing at National Manufacturing Week in Chicago next week. The media briefing will be held on Tuesday, March 6 at 11:30 a.m.

Intrinsyc has been appointed the sole North American certification and support provider for this new program.
Intrinsyc will also introduce plans for new industrial automation solutions in 2001, including:
- Intrinsyc J-Integra, a bi-directional Java-Component Object Model (COM) bridge written entirely in Java;
- Intrinsyc OPCShield, an 'industrial strength' extension of DCOM which enhances off-the-shelf OPC systems to improve production processes and quality control; and
- Intrinsyc deviceCOM for Linux, based on Intrinsyc deviceCOM, a full-featured, binary compatible, distributed COM services for Windows CE.
These and other products will be demonstrated at Intrinsyc's booth (#6119) at National Manufacturing Week in Chicago.
