ABB USA Inc.(Norwalk, Conn.) announced Sept. 1 that it recently received a $66 million order from the U.S. Postal Service for 100 robotic containerization systems, which will be used to sort open and closed trays and tubs of mail, and place them into containers or palletize them in a pattern on a pallet. The systems will be installed in 51 postal processing and distribution centers throughout the U.S. by Nov. 2000.
