Druck acquires GLA Elettronica

Staff -- Control Engineering, 9/1/1999

Leicester, U.K.— Druck has acquired Italian instrumentation specialist GLA Elettronica s.r.l. (Milan, Italy) and made it one of Druck's 14 worldwide subsidiaries that produce sensors, field calibrators, primary/secondary standards, and aviation ground support equipment. GLA manufactures and distributes pressure and temperature measurement and calibration devices, and had approximately £810,000 turnover in 1998. In other news, Druck recently introduced a high-speed pressure controller, which uses a self-diagnostic digital control system the company developed and patented. DPI 515 is the latest addition to Druck's DPI 500 series. It combines silicon sensor and intelligent digital control technologies with intuitive, user-friendly software. This improves productivity, accuracy, and quality, as well as reducing downtime and maintenance. For more information, visit www.controleng.com.
