PLCDirect renamed Automationdirect.com

Staff -- Control Engineering, 4/1/1999

Cumming, Ga.— To reflect its expanding product line, PLCDirect was recently rechristened Automationdirect.com. The renaming coincides with the launch of Automationdirect.com's online store and widening product offerings. (See this issue's Cyberpage for more details.) Automationdirect.com was one of the first controls firms to use a direct sales catalog for programmable logic controller (PLC) products. Expected to open online March 31, Automationdirect.com features more than 1,000 brand name and private label products, such as variable-speed drives, motor contactors, photoelectric and proximity sensors, push buttons, pilot lights, limit switches, electrical schematic software, and PLCs. Recently added products include Hitachi America's L100 and SJ100 Series variable-frequency drives, as well as Automationdirect.com's Centsable brand of proximity and photoelectric sensors.
