Intellution launches new FIX Dynamics, DCS solutions

Staff -- Control Engineering, 1/1/1999

Norwood, Mass.— Intellution Inc. recently released its FIX Dynamics human-machine interface/supervisory control and data acquisition (HMI/SCADA) component version 2.0, which uses underlying component object technology to give users measurable performance results. The company says the new version allows users to solve problems that were previously too time consuming or expensive by reducing engineering expenses, new product time to market, migration to next-generation product costs, as well as cutting operating, maintenance, and support expenses. Built around Intellution's i-Core plug-and-solve framework, FIX Dynamics HMI/SCADA component version 2.0 features graphic capabilities enabling users to develop detailed screens that precisely reflect their manufacturing processes. Intellution also recently developed an OLE for Process Control (OPC) and Y2K solution for distributed control systems (DCSs) with Previse Inc. (Toronto, Ontario, Canada), a provider of OPC-compliant DCS interfaces. Intellution's FIX Dynamics and FIX HMI integrates with OpsCon applications and interfaces to provide DCS system functionality with Y2K compliance.
