Honeywell-Measurex to consolidate Finland operations

Staff -- Control Engineering, 12/1/1998

Cupertino, Calif.— Following a multi-year effort to streamline processes and enhance its internal infrastructure, Honeywell-Measurex announced plans Nov. 16 to consolidate its facilities in Finland. The company will combine its Web Inspection and Imaging Systems (WIS) business unit with its Printa unit during the next year, and will add its Kuopio facility to its neaby Varkaus operation. Honeywell-Measurex says the transition will be managed to prevent any disruption in deliveries or service to customers. WIS systems manufacturing for North America will be tranferred to the new Cupertino-based Regional Delivery Center, due in mid-1999.
