Irvine, Calif. and Eindhoven, the Netherlands— Wonderware Corp., a unit of Siebe Intelligent Automation, announced a strategic alliance Nov. 10 with Origin BV to deliver solutions integrating shop floor and enterprise systems. Origin is an information technology (IT) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) services provider. These solutions will be based on Wonderware's FactorySuite software for developing automation applications that interface directly with ERP solutions from SAP, Baan, Quad, and others. Origin plans to roll out its new plant floor services immediately in Europe, and expand to the U.S., Mexico, and Asia in 1999.
