Event Technologies closes
Staff -- Control Engineering, 12/1/1998
Milwaukee, Wis.— Open software architecture pioneer, Event Technologies Inc. (ETI) ceased active operations Sept. 30 and closed its office here. "The soft control market didn't develop as rapidly or in the way most observers expected," says Richard Pryce, ETI's president and ceo. "In 1992, ETI predicted the move to soft control would begin in 18 months to three years, but the move has been much slower. As a result, it became difficult for companies like ETI to survive as independent players in the market."
