End-user demand spurs engineering contractor growth

Dedham, Mass.— Automation services delivered directly or indirectly by engineering contractors should approach $1.3 billion annually by 2002, according to the recent Worldwide Engineering Contractor Outlook by Automation Research Corp. Much of this growth is fueled by demands from end-users in developing regions, such as Latin America, the Middle East, Asia, which means engineering contractors could provide access to new markets for automation suppliers.
