Tiny temperature measuring system
-- Control Engineering, 1/1/2002

Wilmington, Mass. - The AD7314 is a complete temperature monitoring system in an 8-lead micro-SOIC package. With its bandgap temperature sensor and 10-bit ADC, it is capable of monitoring and digitizing a temperature reading to a resolution of 0.25°C. The device easily interfaces to digital signal processors and most microcontrollers. The on-chip temperature sensors allows ±2°C accuracy measurement over a range from -35 to 85°C. Suitable to portable and battery-operated applications where low power and voltage are key, the AD7314 is intended for use in PCs and process control equipment.
