"Screaming" single gas monitor
-- Control Engineering, 10/1/2001

Newark, Calif. - The Screamer is a single gas
monitor intended for use in industrial environments that incorporates what is
said to be the industry's loudest buzzer (100 dB) for alerting the user of
unsafe conditions. The device id small in size, impervious to both radio
frequency and electromagnetic interference, and able to handle most rugged
environments. The Screamer uses a diffusion style monitor and is powered by a
single 9V battery. An audible alarm sounds if gas levels are exceeded, battery
power is low, or a malfunction occurs in the sensor circuitry. The device is
available for the following gases: ammonia, carbon monoxide, chlorine, hydrogen
cyanide, hydrogen sulfide, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, oxygen, phosphine, or
sulfur dioxide.
