Repeatable control of abrasive and corrosive slurries

Carnegie, Pa. - Red Valve recently introduced the series 5200 line of control pinch valves designed to provide accurate and repeatable control of abrasive and corrosive slurries. A resilient elastomer sleeve provides a smooth venturi flow path reported to outlast gate, plug, and stellite-coated control valves. The reinforced elastomer sleeve is the only wetted part of the valve, eliminating the need for packing, valve seats, and mechanical parts. A cone sleeve trim is most commonly used in throttling applications requiring tight control and improved rangeability. The series 5200 valves are available with pneumatic, electromechanical, or digital positioners.
