Stamford, Ct.-OS540 is a handheld, portable, low-cost infrared thermometer that features circle or dot laser sighting. The device features a range of 0 to 788 °F (-20 to 420 °C) with a fixed emissivity of 0.95. Spectral response is 6-14 mm. Resolution is 1 °F/1 °C with a repeatability of ±1°. The response time for the instrument is 500 ms. Power is provided by a 9 volt battery which is included. Cost is $85.
