PlantScape enhancements include FOUNDATION fieldbus

Phoenix, Ariz.-Honeywell Industrial Controls recently unveiled Release 400 of the PlantScape Hybrid Control System that includes integration with FOUNDATION fieldbus devices, Honeywell HMIWeb technology, @sset.MAX Alert Manager from Honeywell Hi-Spec Solutions, and support for Microsoft Windows 2000 and SQL Server 7. Using a chassis-based Fieldbus Interface Module, PlantScape Control Builder works in conjunction with FOUNDATION fieldbus's Library Manager, the key to interoperability, allowing users to create fieldbus device templates containing blocks from both sources based on manufacturer-supplied device description and capability files. HMIWeb technology allows secure integration of human-machine interfaces, application data, and business data using HTML as the native display format and permits casual access to process graphic displays from either the secure PlantScape Station environment or directly from Microsoft Internet Explorer. @sset.MAX Alert Manager has been expanded to support FOUNDATION fieldbus devices to address the health requirements of plant operations and maintenance.
