Temperature logger is intrinsically safe

Pocasset, Mass.-Stowaway-IS temperature data logger records in hazardous locations, with potentially explosive concentrations of gas (Class 1) or dust (Class 2), continuously (Div. 1) or intermittently (Div. 2). The button-like device has been tested to NEMA 6P (IP67), but isn't for extended deployment in water or epoxy permeating vapors. Collected data is read-out to a PC. Expected prices at the September 2000 launch are $120 for the logger, $95 for software, $70 for a base station, $15 for a coupler, and $199 for an optional Optic Shuttle for field offload.
