Petaluma, Calif.-EC4 Series electric cylinders supply a wide range of thrust loads and speeds, intended for high duty cycles. Their load, speed, and travel capabilities range up to 12, 000 N (2,700 lb), 1,330 mm/sec (52.4 in./sec), and 1,500 mm (59.1 in.), respectively. Either a brushless servo, a dc servo, or a step motor can power the cylinder to suit most any motion control environment. Options include rotary encoder or linear potentiometer position feedback and a load-holding brake.
