Ann Arbor, Mich.-ISS Series Intelligent brushless servo controllers use a DSP for sensorless closed-loop velocity control of 3-phase PM brushless dc motors. A proprietary sensorless flux vector algorithm regulates motor speed within ±0.1% with varying loads. ISS Series comes in three initial power ratings: 7/10 A, 14/20 A, and 21/30 A (continuous/peak). Intended for OEM requirements of performance, cost, and ease of use, the controller runs on 36-264 V ac input (one or three phase). The controller includes a Microsoft Windows configuration software utility. A higher cost, EMC-compliant version is also available.
