Class IV shutoff valves

-- Control Engineering, 4/1/2000

Cookeville, Tenn.-Durco HPBV Big Max valves are said to provide high performance economy in abrasive, dirty, and/or high temperature applications. The new line of metal-seated valves meet ANSI/FCI 70-2 Class IV leakage rate criteria. The valves' metal seats are offered in both BX2 and MX designs. Each is available in a -20 to 400 °F model and in an inherently fire-safe to 600 °F model. All versions feature hard-coated 316 stainless steel discs to retard abrasive wear and Inconel X750 all metal seats to assure superior shutoff as well as erosion resistance.
