Buffalo Grove, Ill.— The PD60 family of fiber-optic sensors and accessories features programmable, self-teaching setup that can be controlled through the keyboard on the device or remotely by wire. The amplifiers have a 10-30 V dc power supply and feature both NPN and PNP outputs, which also can be selected locally or remotely. Manual program versions feature an LED bar graph to show strength of signal. Versions are available for both plastic and glass fiber-optic cables. All versions feature a keyboard lock, which prevents tampering or inadvertent changes to the sensor setup. The plastic fiber cables consist of 0.25-mm² or 1.0-mm² diameter cables with fixed sensor heads, or a low-cost group of 1.0-mm² diameter cables with detachable sensor heads.
