Amplifier enhances motion controller

Mountain View, Calif.—Two versions of new Econo Series single-axis motion controllers integrate a PWM amplifier into one package for added convenience. DMC-1416-Brush handles a brush-type motor at up to 12 A (cont.), 60 V, while DMC-1416-Brushless powers a brushless motor at up to 6 A. Pricing is $995 and $1,095, respectively. DMC-1416 comes with an extra encoder input for electronic gearing, program memory for multitasking, seven uncommitted digital inputs, three digital outputs, two analog inputs, Ethernet and RS-232 communications, and a full set of software tools. www.galilmc.com.
