Micro drivers

Staff -- Control Engineering, 3/1/2000

Thousand Oaks, Calif.—MicroDrivers are linear actuators with 0.1 micrometer resolution. Model R212 has a total travel of 12 mm, while Model R225 has a travel of 25 mm, and Model 250, 50 mm. All models exert a force of nine pounds (40 N). MicroDriver is tolerant of side loads and does not bind when radially clamped. Diameter is 0.749-in. and length is 5.58-in. Backlash is less than 5 µm. Two-phase TTL encoder output has 16,920 counts per mm linear travel. Optotrade.com Inc.
