Mini PMAC2 motion controller

Staff -- Control Engineering, 8/1/1999

Chatsworth, Calif. — Delta Tau Data Systems, introduces the compact lower cost Mini-PMAC2 two axis PC-based motion controller card. It provides the power of the PMAC2, including fully digital direct PWM control of power-block amplifiers for one- and two-axis applications. Mini-PMAC2 can be used in a PC ISA slot as a 2/3-sized board, or it can be used standalone with RS-232 communications for setup and/or application control. Its servo interface circuitry provides a wide range of amplifier control formats including: analog velocity mode, analog torque mode, dual sinusoidal analog phase-current mode, direct PWM power bldc mode, and pulse and direction mode for both stepping drives and step motor replacement servo drives. Its firmware, programs, and variables are 100% compatible with other PMAC2 versions and has full PMAC2 motion and PLC program capability.
