Fiber optic sensors

-- Control Engineering, 4/1/2002

Buffalo Grove, IL - The PD60 family of fiberoptic sensors and accessories feature programmable, self-teaching setup that can be controlled through the keyboard on the device or remotely by wire. The amplifiers have a 10-30 Vdc power supply and feature both NPN and PNP outputs, which can be selected by keyboard or wiring. Manual program versions feature an LED bar graph to show strength of signal. Versions are available for both plastic and glass fiberoptic cables. All versions feature a keyboard lock, which prevents tampering or inadvertent changes to the sensor setup. The plastic fiber cables consist of 0.25 mm2 or 1.0 mm2 diameter cables with fixed sensor heads, or a low-cost group of 1.0 mm2 di-ameter cables with detachable sensor heads. Glass fiber cables are available in a variety of models.
