Microsoft Windows XP 64-bit edition version 2003 lets users in manufacturing take advantage of the performance enhancements in Intel Itanium 2 processor. The high-performance platform is designed for users solving complex scientific problems, developing high-performance design and engineering applications, creating 3-D animations, or producing videos. The architecture also gives developers freedom to create 64-bit applica-tions using the familiar Windows programming model.
