Control Engineering Polska launched in September

Staff -- Control Engineering, 10/1/2003

Warsaw, Poland—Five thousand engineers in Poland began receiving a new publication, Control Engineering Polska, in September 2003. The new Polish-language magazine will be published 10 times per year by Media International LLC, under a license from Reed Business Information.

The publishers report that Control Engineering Polska reflects Central Europe and Poland's accelerating emergence as a promising industrial market. The publication's 5,000 readers regularly buy control, automation and instrumentation equipment in Poland's $100-million controls market, which serves applications in the country's heavy industrial base and its growing exports. Poland's market for control systems, equipment, software, consulting, implementation, cabling and components is expected to grow by 5% in 2004, partly as a result of the nation's officially joining the European Union in May 2004.

Control Engineering Polska will feature a collection of specifically Polish controls and automation news, product announcements, and technology initiatives by leading Polish and European companies. It will also include North American and other worldwide control, instrumentation and automation products and solutions leveraged from Control Engineering. With its main editorial office located in Warsaw, Control Engineering Polska will be written and printed in Poland.

"We have designed Control Engineering Polska's fall 2003 editorial schedule to keep up with the trends, products and services in the four major areas that control engineers encounter—installation equipment, motion control, factory automation, and process automation," says Michael Majchrzak, Control Engineering Polska's publisher. "Of course, we never know what the future will bring, and so we're keeping a close eye on rapidly developing trends and technologies, such as distributed control via Ethernet; FDT and DTM; machine vision; advanced control and preventive maintenance; digital instrumentation and ATEX, IEC 61508, and machine safety developments.

"We have more exclusive articles that any other magazine in the field. If you have some new developments or technologies to share, or if you have any questions about our editorial agenda, plant send an e-mail to our editorial department at editorial@controleng polska.com."
