Software tool enhanced

Staff -- Control Engineering, 12/1/2004

Automation Studio adds many new functions and improvements in its latest version. Package allows for seamless integration of controllers, drives, visualization (HMI), communication, and software using a single development tool, from controllers to distributed-axis drives and from fieldbus to Ethernet. Enhancements include remote display functionality over any TCP/IP connection. In addition, Power Panel 100 devices (visualization terminals) can be connected over TCP/IP to other controllers, industrial PCs, or other Power Panel terminals. Software can now master online switching by changing texts and fonts and switch keyboard layouts and key displays. It can also handle measurement units and process variable scaling according to the respective country.
