Machine Control

LVB10 dime-sized brushless vibration motor has a 0.394-in. (10-mm) O.D. and 0.134-in. (3.4-mm) axial length, with a developed vibration force of 0.063 oz (1.8 g). Drive electronics are integrated inside the motor case with 2 leads exiting to a 3-V dc battery source. Model LBV10-003 achieves a speed of 13,500 rpm and draws a rated current of 76 mA. Motor acts as a sensor and features limited rotation. Its brushless design offers long-life operation and minimizes electrical noise in sensitive applications. Lower current model LBV10-008 develops 12,800 rpm at 62.0 mA. Applications include personal safety detectors, cell phones, and medical alert devices. www.copal-usa.com Nidec Copal USA Corp.
