Flowmeters for liquefied (LNG) and conventional natural-gas service include Bundle Waveguide Technology (BWT) system with DigitalFlow DF868 flowmeter for measuring cryogenic LNG flows and Sentinel natural gas ultrasonic flowmeter for fiscal custody-transfer measurement. BWT system measures cryogenic flow of LNG at -161 °C (-322 °F) as it is transferred from liquefaction trains and tankers into storage tanks at production plants and receiving terminals. BWT buffer, a collection of bundled cylindrical elements, is said to provide a highly collimated pathway for the ultrasonic signal traveling from the transducer to its wetted tip, for high accuracy and signal strength. Buffer system causes no pressure drop or flashing in LNG service. Sentinel is intended for high-accuracy use. Multi-path device is available in pipe sizes from 6-48 in. www.gesensing.com GE Sensing
