ISaGraf 5.0 is said to be the "world's first commercially available, IEC 61499 automation-software." (IEC 61499 presents guidelines for using function blocks in distributed industrial process, measurement, and control systems.) Software from ICS Triplex IsaGraf incorporates IEC 61131-3 and 61499 standards to give users ability to build traditional control systems where interactions between devices are automatically regulated and synchronized by IEC 61499 function block diagrams, rather than through use of manually implemented algorithms.
Such devices could be PLCs, micro-controllers, or intelligent field instrumentation, such as flowmeters or valves.
Software features include XML import/export, automatic network distribution between resources, and updated version source control.
