Staff -- Control Engineering, 2/1/2006

Embedded Control

Model CVCSO-914-1000 1GHz voltage-controlled SAW (surface acoustic wave) oscillator (VCSO) uses FR5 PCB and SAW crystal technology to provide

a low-noise, low-jitter product with true sine wave output. Features include 135 dBc/Hz phase noise at 10 kHz offset. It comes in a 9 x 14 mm SMT package, uses a +5 V supply, operates from -20 to 70 °C, and has no subharmonics. Second harmonic is typically -20 dBc. Applications include PLL frequency translation, test and measurement, avionics, point-to-point, multi-point radios, and telecom. www.crystek.com Crystek Crystals Corp.
