Visible LED unit combines high brightness LEDs with 3-D packaging technology into a single-source assembly. Lednium Series features a 10-W package with 120° viewing angle for an array of amber, blue, green, red, or white LEDs. Wide viewing angle and increased brightness are said to be critical factors for design engineers incorporating solid-state light sources (LEDs) into applications such a automotive interior and exterior lighting, indoor and outdoor electronic signage and displays, architectural lighting, and general displays. LED assemblies provide different parallel-serial connections to enable the operation of 3, 6, or all 9 of the mounted LEDs to vary light output and power consumption.
