Power distribution blocks

PDB Series power distribution blocks have SCCRs to 200 kA rating and are listed to UL 1953 to replace low-rated power distribution blocks and achieve higher assembly short-circuit current ratings. The 2005 NEC requires industrial control panels and some HVAC equipment and other assemblies to be marked with their assembly short-circuit current ratings. Replacing a low-rated power distribution block with a high SCCR PDB Series product reportedly achieves an assembly with more installation flexibility. The power distribution blocks can be used to meet new 2005 NEC requirements in section 376.56(B) for wireways and also be used in UL 508A panels for feeder and branch-circuit applications. www.cooperbussmann.com Cooper Bussmann
