LN series linear encoders from BEI Industrial Encoder Div. are said to provide rapid, accurate, and repeatable position feedback in a rugged design. They feature a stainless steel scale, sealed read head, and IP67 environmental rating to resist shock, vibration, and contaminants. Series operates in harsh industrial environments and needs no air purging system. Non-contacting system of measurement has no parts to wear out. Product is suited for a wide variety of applications, including machine control, automated processes, and pick and place operations. Standard measuring resolutions of 0.5 to 10 µm are available.
