Trends in safety sensors

Among safety sensor products, one of the highest market growth rates is forecast for laser scanners. Safety laser scanners are a relatively new type of product that is expected to provide a more cost-effective method of area guarding, particularly in 'machine cell' factory floor applications. Safety laser scanners are used for safeguarding dangerous areas and access points. Because they are so versatile, they can be used as a safeguard on both stationary and moving equipment.
