SolidCAM2007 R11 integrated CAM-engine for SolidWorks further expands SolidCAM’s 3-D milling functionality with a high-speed machining module for molds, tools and dies, and complex 3-D parts. HSM module offers machining and linking strategies for generating optimum roughing and finishing CNC high-speed tool paths. Module was introduced at the International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago last month. HSM is said to allow users to generate complex NC programs for different types of high-speed cutting machines and is integrated in the SolidWorks platform. www.solidcam.com SolidCAM
