CX1020 Embedded PC raises performance bar

By Staff -- Control Engineering, 4/1/2007

Beckhoff Automation

Beckhoff Automation’s CX1020 is a major enhancement to its high-end embedded PC. Where the original CX1020 design had a 600 MHz Intel Celeron M CPU, all models now feature a 1 GHz Intel Celeron M ULV processor. The fanless embedded PC’s heat sink was redesigned and enlarged to ensure system stability and eliminate the possibility of overheating. Beckhoff Embedded PCs provide Industrial PC performance at the modular I/O level as a compact controller mounted on DIN rail. Compact Flash for boot and memory medium eliminates need for rotating media. Developed for peak performance with EtherCAT fieldbus, it can achieve less than one millisecond response time. www.beckhoffautomation.com
